Just hanging around in January

 

Not too much has been happening around here, hence the absence of postings.

 

 

  We roasted a few marshmallows in the fireplace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Watched the ConAgra building get demolished.  If you search ‘ConAgra Huron’ on you tube you can watch it too!

 

 

 

 

Enjoyed a snow day with the neighbors

 

 

Did a little exercise with my helpers.  Nothing like a 30 pound weight to add to your lunges!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Enjoyed some popcorn.

 

 

Watched LOTS of ‘hockey highlights’ with Dad.

 

 

 

  Wore my brothers big boy underpants one day for fun.  (No I am NOT potty trained!!!)  My favorite trick right now is whenever I come home I like to run to the guest bedroom and take off my pants.  Who needs pants anyway?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And last but not least, splased in some puddles with our boots when the snow melted.

Nature Channel

 

We had a really cool experience here in our little neighborhood today.  We were paid a visit by a very cool bird.  This bald eagle has been hanging around for the past few days.  He lands in the tall tree in fron tof our neighbors house by the beach.  Sue and I were pushing the kids on the swing this beautiful afternoon and soon Sue spotted it flying over the lake.  He didn’t catch anything, but he did land in the tree and I ran back to the house to get my camera.  So glad I did, because these are some cool shots.  Happy bird watching!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Happy New Year

 

Chrsitmas just kept coming for the boys.  When we got home from Michigan, Mark and I celebrated our christmas with the boys.  More presents…..

Peter had been cooped up a few days and couldn’t help but run from one end of the house to the other.  So, on Brian’s suggestion, Mark came up with this bike treadmill.  Peter loved it!

Joey was so exhausted on Saturday, but he just didn’t have it in him to put down the balls. 

 

 

 

 

 

  I got to use my new pancake pen to make fun pancake shapes on Saturday morning.

 

 

 

 

 

Peter and Joey enjoyed fonduing with us. Mostly the bread and the marshmallows.

Having a blast in Michigan

The past few days we’ve been enjoying time with the Cencer family up in Michigan.  The boys got way too much for christmas – as usual – and loved spending some time with their aunts and uncles.

We opened presents on Saturday and then enjoyed a yummy Christmas dinner while we were all together.  Dave was master elf and Peter was happy to help.

Peter continued to help Dave hand out gifts.  He also helped each person open their gifts and offered helpful hints how to get the unwrapping started.  He also announced the contents of each gift.  “Pictures! Grandma got pictures!”

 

Mark had to keep Joey on task.  Too much playing not enough gift opening :)

Gingerbread Houses

 

Last Thursday we enjoyed a wonderful night with our neighbors decorating ginger bread houses.

More Rain…

It’s been raining for about 10 years (more like 2 days) here.  There are small rivers and lakes everywhere and cooped up little boys running ramped around the house.  The activity of choice this afternoon was throwing the ball at the christmas tree to a) see if they could get it stuck or b) knock down an ornament and bring it to mommy repeating ‘uh-oh’ a gazillion times.

This is the dance we like to call “Hippo jumps on angel”.  Noah’s ark seems to have raided the Little People Nativity.  Baby Jesus has only been in the trash 3 times today (it’s time to move the trash can).

 

Peter and Joey have taken quite a liking to playing hide and seek lately.  Only when it gets a little too quiet the seeker must speed up the seeking process.  Here we have two sneaky little boys raiding daddy’s dark chocolate stash for mommy.  (Mommy was sad.  The boys however were sent out to play in the yard – a lot of running was required).

After a severely unsuccessful shopping experience this evening.  Me and my computer have made a renewed bond as I will be completing my christmas shopping online.  Amazon is my friend (I’m sorry Faith if you’re reading this)  but tell me where else I can buy everything I need in one complete order with free shipping!  Me and my lazy butt prefer to stay right here (out of the rain!).
