Another great trip to PA (and probably our last trip for awhile).

The kitchen

 

Thanks to a loving and patient husband – my kitchen is looking amazing.  It started with a trip to the farm to pick up my new kitchen cabinet.  These were the only pictures I managed because the boys were so busy!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know, they are pitiful, but the boys didn’t want to look into the sun.  And these aren’t even a good representation of what they did.  Mostly they played with the cats and the chickens.  I had to make sure nothing was meowing in the van on the way home.  We didn’t need any stow aways!

While we were there, Mark spent the day painting at home.  So, when we got home, the boys were very helpful in taking off the tape on the windows.

 

 

Please ignore the dirty counters and dishes.  Here is the current state of the kitchen. The new pantry is white and in the first picture. And yes the drawer is missing a pull – we have to go get longer screws. The cabinet doors need some touch ups in the second picture so they aren’t on yet.  A few more decorations and shelves and I should be all set.  And I’m hoping my mom takes pity on me in January and makes me some curtains :)

Busy Weekend

 

It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend here!  And now it’s cold again. But we made a great use of our time and finished up the last of the house projects (I hope!). 

I badly wanted to paint the kitchen something besides blue. So after about 3 changes of color (thank you for your patience Sherwin Williams!) the boys got a good start on Tuesday and Mark did the rest on Saturday.  I took the boys down to aunt Sylvia’s farm to pick up my new kitchen pantry – yay! (pictures coming – I want to clean my kitchen first!)

But most fun of all was jumping in the leaves!

 

 

 

 

Trick or Treat

 

There was a beautifully warm day hidden in October and this is what we did :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Then it was back to indoor mini stick hockey.  They dump all the toys out of the containers and use them as skates.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hurricane Sandy didn’t do much damage around here, just lots of yucky rainy days.  So many neighborhoods and towns kept changing when ‘Trick or Treat’ was.  Except ours, we were true to Halloween and did our Trick or Treating in the drizzling rain!  Here’s our gang!
